Thank you so much for your donation of £100 kindly given to Naomi House children's hospice. We are so grateful, your support means so much to the children and their families that use Naomi House and to the young people who will soon be able to use our new hospice, Jacksplace.
As you may know Naomi House provides a homely environment to children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We provide one-to-one specialist care, including respite, end of life and bereavement support, and are proud to have supported over 640 families since we opened in 1997.
Once again thank you for your very kind donation which will help us reach the £2.5 million each year that is needed to keep these crucial care services open to the children and their families that need us. Alongside this we have raised over £9 million towards our £12 million target towards Jacksplace. If you would like more information about Naomi House or Jacksplace we would be delighted to hear from you.

It is with much sadness that we inform members of the 2nd HMS Manchester Association of the passing of popular former shipmate Ernie Earnshaw. Many of our Association will remember Ernie as a young PO onboard the Mighty Manch circa 88 - 91. As we understand, Ernie - who was a serving Warrant Officer1, collapsed and passed away en-route to Pompey Dockyard on the morning of Wednesday 28th October, 2009. He was 46.
The Association extends its deepest sympathy to Ernie's family and his many, many friends.
The Funeral was on Tuesday 10th November 2009 and a number of 2nd HMS Manchester Association members attended. In accordance with the family's wishes for charitable donations in lieu of flowers, the Association has made a donation to Cancer Research UK.

It is with much sadness that we learned of the passing of former shipmate,
Fred Dayson-Smith. Fred, who was the Stores Chief circa 85-87 went on to
become a Warrant Officer, before retiring from Pusser UK some 10 years ago.
He joined 2MA in it's infancy, and attended one of our re-unions, however,
on release he let it be known that he intended to put his naval career behind
him, and move on to pastures new.
Discreet enquiries have revealed that Fred's funeral is scheduled to take place
181310ZMAR14 at Washingbrough Crematorium, Lincoln. There after at the
Hospital Club, all are welcome to muster, no flowers, donations to service
Among the great and the good who attended the Annual Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in 2013, and marched down Whitehall on completion, were staunch 2MA supporters Skid Wroe and Buzz Bee. As often happens on these occasions, a passing phot man was also on hand to record the event. Looks like Skid is a bit of an exonumist!
Good Ship - Good Painting
Ross Watton has produced this excellent painting of the Mighty Manch, and whilst the original has now been sold - to a 2MA Member, incidentally - copies are still available for £30.00 + p+p via 2MA
